National Instruments Pigtail-Pigtail Automotive Ethernet Cable
The Pigtail-Pigtail Automotive Ethernet Cable is widely used in the construction of automotive Ethernet networks. This cable is designed for the National Instruments Automotive Ethernet Modules (PXIe-8522 and PXI-8523). The Pigtail-Pigtail Automotive Ethernet Cable is an unshielded cable, which offers 3-lane, two-way communications. The jacket material of this cable is specially designed with fire-resistant material.
The NI Pigtail-Pigtail Automotive Ethernet Cable supports the 1000BASE-T1 protocol. The 1000BASE-T1 protocol describes Gigabit Ethernet for automotive and industrial control applications. The NI Pigtail-Pigtail Automotive Ethernet Cable carries TRX_P and TRX_M bi-directional signals. The TRX_P signal is the transceiver plus signal, whereas the TRX_M signal is the transceiver minus signal. A dedicated National Instruments Pigtail-Pigtail Automotive Ethernet Cable is needed to establish a communication link between the host port and the device under test (DUT). Thus, you need four separate cables to operate a 4-port interface module to its full capacity.
There are two variations of the NI Pigtail-Pigtail Automotive Ethernet Cable, which are different lengths and have a different Front End Connection. Both version have a Pigtail Back End Connection. Part number 787108-05 is a 5 m cable with a 3-Pin, Male OMNIMATE B2CF Front End Connection. The other part number, 787109-15, is 15 m with a Pigtail Front End Connection.
